Things that have made me happy over the past 3 week

So it has been quite some time since I last did a what made me happy post. That's not because I have been a grumpy bugger and nothing has made me happy, but life has just been so busy. I feel like someone hit the fast forward button my life and everything has been happening in a blur. So here are the best its from the past 3 weeks.

  • Celebrating a 30th birthday - I'd just like to mention it wasn't mine, it was actually the Mr's birthday. His birthday was on the 13th of April and the 4 of us spend a lovely day together. We spent the morning at the zoo with the boys they were so well behaved and were amazed by all the animals. In the evening me and Steve went out to dinner while my mum very kindly looked after the boys. It had been years since we and Steve were able to go out for the evening and enjoy a lovely meal together.

  •  Slimming world -after a 4 month brake I finally took myself to my local group and joined again. I was really nervous as I had no idea what the scales were say. So when I was told that I weighted the same as I did when I left, I couldn't believe it. I've been to, two weigh ins since I re-joined and have lost both weeks. Fingers crossed it continues.

  • Our garden - I love our garden. Riley and Ronny have been loving it 100 times more than me, and this makes me happy. I love seeing them play out there and having so much space to run. Riley has been fascinated by all the creatures and loves dragging me out to see the snails. Ronny is just happy to have some out door space. Since he was born he has never had a garden so its all new to him and he has been fully making the most of it.

  • Making plans - over the last few weeks, Steve and I have had some really long chats about lots of thing we would like to do. The one I'm most excited about is our wedding. We have had lots of ideas flying around and were almost there with setting a date.

10 things that've made me happy this week

Happy Sunday. Thanks to the long East weekend this week has completely flown by and I feel like all I've done is ask what day it is as I've totally lost track.

Here's what has been making me happy this week ....

1. We spend Easter Sunday at our local rare breeds centre and we had such a lovely day. We did the Easter trail, watched pigs race and got to spend hours cooing over baby goats and lambs.

2. An afternoon spent with family. We unexpectedly popped into my parents house and ended staying for Chinese. The boys love it there and I love seeing them playing happily in the house that I grew up in.

3. Easter chocolate. Our house is full of it and we've been picking at it all week.

4. A unplanned play date. The kids played and mums chatted and drank tea. Bliss.

5. On Wednesday me and the boys took a stroll to collect some forms from the DRs surgery. Ronny refused to go in his buggy so he walked the whole way holding mine and Riley's hand.

6. Ronny finding it historical when I put baby power on him.

7. Getting our garden summer ready.

8. Riley saying "bunder bee" when he is trying to say bumble bee.

9. Spending some the morning with a friend me and Steve had not seen for years

10. Enjoying a hot bubble with, with absolutely no interruptions

Down in the south east, the weather today has been lovely. Steve managed to get the day off work so we have been pottering in the garden, getting it ready for the summer. Here are a few pictures I took whilst having a play around with the camera.

10 things that've made me happy this week

It is finally April, and I have fully welcomed the month with open arms. Its fair to say March was pretty rubbish. We had everything thrown at us in those 31 days, everything from moving, losing a loved one, a hospital trip, illness to our car braking.
Id started to get myself into a right state with dwelling on all the horrible negative things going on, that all the nice positive thing in my life we passing me by.
Here is a little run down of 10 things that have made me happy this week.

1. Catching up with my best friend. We hadn't seem each other since her wedding (Feb 13th) so a catch up was much overdue.

2. Spending our evenings, keeping cosy and warm by your open fire. That thing really chucks out some heat.

3. Dressing my boys in matching outfits. Its not something I make a habit of doing but they both looked so cute.

4. Milky caramel coffee.

5. Listening to my little Riley singing "I really, really, really, really, really, really like you" over and over again. He's totally going to overkill that song but it melts my heart.

6. Easter. Egg. Chocolate. Do I need to say anything else.

7. Spending a lovely afternoon with my boys. We went for dinner, played in the arcade and even squeezed in a little stroll along the seafront.

8. Going up to bed and finding Riley all smuggled up under the covers. My bed was lovely and warm once I'd popped him back into his bed.

9. The rain. Now this is not usually something that makes me happy, as I'm definitely a summer girl but I do love listening to it beating down on the conservatory roof.

10. Clean bedding,

drives us everywhere
doesn't mind me stealing all of the covers
held my hand through two scary labours

We are moving house.

In a few weeks we will be moving house, something I am very excited about.
We have lived in our current home for just over a year now and already we have outgrown it. We seem to be constantly moving furniture around for a bit of extra space, even clearing out things we don't want or need doesn't seem to make a much of a difference.

With two growing boys I'm very much looking forward to having a bigger house and more space for them. One of best things about the new house is that we will have a garden which is something we all have really missed. I can't wait to sit outside in the summer, watch the boys play while me and the Mr sit and chat.

The house does need some work ... actually it needs a lot of work. The whole place needs renovating and were in the process of having a kitchen and bathroom fitted. We're lucky in a way as this means we can put our own little stamp on the place. I've been spending my evenings searching the internet for inspiration and finding myself loving the white, shabby chic look. I love the bright, clean fresh look of it all but with having two small boys, who love nothing more than making a mess, its most probably not a smart idea.
